The Road Not Taken
Hi !
Today I present a brief extract from « The road not taken » by Robert Frost. Robert Frost is an American poet born in San Francisco in 1874 and died in Boston in 1963. He led a sad life according to his biographer : he hit failures and many deaths. In his work, he is different from numerous authors from the same period because he didn’t glorify neither modernity nor trust in the mankind¹ . He won four times the Putziler Price.
In its globality « The Road not taken » deals with the choice of one road during a walk. The title is curious because it focuses on the road neglected. Enjoy the reading !

The road not taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Robert Frost
Some words :
a wood : un bois
to bend : se courber
undergrowth : les sous-bois
